Academic SUPPORT

PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS FOR ACADEMIC SUPPORT
I offer psychometric assessments of learners between 10 and 16 years old to screen for potential barriers to learning and to support the applications for potential Assessment Accommodations upon referral from medical professionals (Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and General Practitioners). These assessments are mostly recommended when there are concerns about a learner's academic progress or when a learner struggles to keep up with the academic demands of their grade. It is also recommended to reassess learners who have received assessment accommodations in the past.

The assessment usually includes interviews with parents/guardians to obtain a holistic picture of a learner's current functioning and physical, developmental, medical, and academic history and social context. It also includes evaluating the learner's intellectual ability (I.Q test), scholastic assessments (reading, spelling, mathematics), and any additional assessments that may be required. The findings and recommendations are discussed during a feedback session with the parents/guardians, who also receive a comprehensive electronic report with the findings and recommendations
