Heidi Steijnberg offers professional career counselling services to support students with their career and educational choices. The career guidance process helps you to understand yourself better; your strengths, areas for development, preferences, interests, and values. Through collaboration, traits and life themes are linked to fields of study or career options to empower you to make informed decisions about your education and work.

What does the service entail?

The process includes an initial/intake session, a psychometric assessment of aptitude, interests, personality and values, an interactive counselling session and a feedback session. Students also receive an electronic report of findings and recommendations with further research tips, useful resources and bursary information.

Counselling

Individual counselling sessions are offered for students considering study course changes or seeking help with academic or career concerns, including concerns about meeting academic demands, peer pressure, self-esteem and support with career preparation.
